Fun Garden Whimsy Craft Apron Cloe's Imagination Fabric by Tina Givens, Fairyland Coco

My children are all home again...grad school and college classes have ended.  The big weekend snow closed schools for the last two days before the Christmas break so my youngest son has been able to enjoy playing in the snow with his older brother and sister.  They made a big snowman today and tomorrow want to build a snow dog.  I'll have to take pics when they finish!

This has meant that I have been "stuck" in the house.  What a blessing to have an excuse to stay home..playing games, watching Christmas specials, drinking hot chocolate, and brewing pots of hot tea!  Of course, this also means I was able to spend some more time sewing. 

This is another of my craft aprons made from the now discontinued Cloe's Imagination fabric designed by Tina Givens for Free Spirit.  The design was based on a vintage (well worn, used, & quite dirty) apron that I found at the bottom of a box lot of textiles purchased at an auction.  With a couple of changes..I have a design that works for my crafting needs.  This apron style has been popular with my customers also.

Now tomorrow...I have to catch up on some last minute shopping and take my son to see Santa!

Cute Brown Owl Skirt Made with Timeless Treasures 70s Apple Fabric

I've been in the sewing room again.  I used the combination of the brown owl fabric with the red spiral scroll fabric on a craft apron that I created and liked it so much that I made this toddler skirt.  With the winter weather finally setting in I hope to spend more time creating a variety of new items for you.

New Handcrafted 16" Pillow Sham in Pressed Flowers in Rose from the Drawing Room Collection

I'm back in the sewing room again.  I've been so busy lately that it felt really great to take the time to create.  My latest 16" pillow sham is made from Pressed Flowers in Rose from the Drawing Room fabric collection by Anna Maria Horner.  The back is finished with an overlap closure featuring Plume in Raspberry also from the same collection.  What is great about this collection is that it is machine washable.  I have prewashed all fabric used...so you can just throw your sham in the wash as needed!

Shabby Romantic Blue Rose Cameo Tags for Gifts, Collage, Altered Art, Scrapbooking

I had so much fun making these tags with my daughter.  I love fabric and paper and glitter and ribbon...so these tags are a combination of all of my favorite things.!  The cameos feature a central blue rose design surrounded by graceful swirling patterns.  The outer swirls are accented with glitter, and the tag is finished with a velveteen ribbon to add an extra bit of pizazz.  A card stock backing provides stiffness and the perfect surface for writing a special note.  Of course, you could also use these tags for collage, altered art, scrapbooking, or any other crafty thing you can think of!!
