I love this fabric collection. The "On A Whim" fabric collection features fabrics designed by Amy Schimler for Robert Kaufman. This collection features three different owl fabrics and two cartoon birds and flowers fabrics. The owls are now in!
The pistachio and aqua colorways feature orange, pink, and purple owls accented with leaves and stars. The owls range in size from approximately 2" to 3" tall. The earth colorway features owls in variations of earth tones--browns and tans--accented with leaves and stars.
The cartoon birds/flowers fabrics are on backorder...but will hopefully be here soon!
I'm back in the sewing room again. I've been so busy lately that it felt really great to take the time to create. My latest 16" pillow sham is made from Pressed Flowers in Rose from the Drawing Room fabric collection by Anna Maria Horner. The back is finished with an overlap closure featuring Plume in Raspberry also from the same collection. What is great about this collection is that it is machine washable. I have prewashed all fabric used...so you can just throw your sham in the wash as needed!

The Chic Bebe fabric collection by David Textiles has finally arrived! Well...not the entire collection is here. I was expecting this collection in July and four bolts arrived late last week. Better late than never!
This is a wonderful quality cotton at a very reasonable price. All of the fabrics the I received are in the pink and chocolate colorway and include the pink chocolate ornate baroque, pink chocolate cheetah, pink chocolate dots, and chocolate pink dots. I'm still waiting on the chocolate pink zebra though.
I'm also still waiting for the chocolate and aqua colorway.
I'll update as more fabrics from this collection arrive in the studio.
Quantities are limited and I don't know if I'll be able to get more fabric in this collection once it sells out.
I've decided to make the time to create something in my studio at least every weekend. Weekdays are so busy with all of the different schedules we have. I need the weekend to unwind, be creative, and step away from the hustle and bustle of modern day life.
Each beautiful romantic tag is handcrafted from blue fabric cameos. The cameos feature a central blue rose design surrounded by graceful swirling patterns. The outer swirls are accented with glitter, and the tag is finished with a velveteen ribbon to add an extra bit of pizazz. A card stock backing provides stiffness and the perfect surface for writing a special note. These tags are a perfect addition to that special gift. They can also be used in your scrapbooking, crafting, collage, or altered art projects.
